How I can help you

My Journey:
“It felt like I had been consumed whole…I couldn’t sleep, cold sweats one minute, then hot sweats the next, I was stressed out over the slightest things, I suffered from crippling digestive issues and whole body inflammation, I couldn’t think straight, I felt overwhelmed, and the fatigue was beyond exhausting …. it felt as if I were caught in the highest setting of a spin cycle.”
Like many women, I found myself blindsided by the unexpected challenges of peri-menopause.
Suddenly, I felt like I had lost ‘me.’
As a mum and former psychology lecturer, I know first-hand the challenges of navigating menopause while juggling a demanding career, home, and motherhood. The anxiety, night sweats, insomnia, and brain fog left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of myself. I felt like a stranger in my own life. The menopause fatigue and exhaustion were overwhelming, and the feeling of loss of control shook my confidence to the core. A zero hour teaching contract that came to an abrupt end two weeks before Christmas, was the final straw. I was passionate about psychology and teaching, so this was the biggest blow; even though I knew it could happen at any time. The peri-menopause meant my inner landscape was running the show, and I was sat in the front seat of the most erratic emotional rollercoaster ride.
It took time to recognise that these struggles were the hallmarks of menopause, affecting me not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. As the peri-menopause hit, so did the re-emergence of past trauma, muddled in the whirlwind of negative thoughts and old coping mechanisms that had become unwelcome guests in my mind. Burnout lurked in the shadows, beckoning me forwards.
As I clawed my way through what felt like midlife Jumanji but was actually a transformative phase, (it really didn’t feel like it at the time!), I pulled upon my knowledge and passion for psychology, and discovered that prioritising my well-being was key. I focused on nurturing my mind, re-engaging in my childhood passion for art by creating seascape artworks, listening more to my body, and feeding my soul with time spent re-connecting with the ocean and nature, was the secret to reclaiming balance and my sense of purpose in life. This helped me enormously as in January 2025, I faced the sudden hospitalisation and death of my mother, the grief process and the conflict of emotions that arose unexpectedly. The tools I will teach you, will steer you through any storm in this beautiful life.
I'm passionate about empowering other women to thrive through this transformative phase. As women, we all have unique challenges that we face in midlife and menopause; not one journey is the same. I'm here to guide you through what can be a confusing, emotional, and painful transition, provide personalised unwavering support, and help you rediscover your joy, energy, and confidence in what you will soon see is a powerful chapter of transformation.
